It is with a heavy, heavy heart that I must share with you devastating news. Darryl Harding, our outgoing and popular President passed away in his sleep overnight Monday August 12. I don’t have to tell you what a huge loss this is for his family, the league, and Scarborough Baseball.
My heart goes out to Darryl’s family especially his 2 children Dawson & Mackenzie. This is something no one can ever be prepared for.
Personally, I’ve known Darryl for many, many years. I’m like many of you, I’ve seen him do it all! Darryl was and always will be Wexford Baseball! His passion for this league is unmatched. He’s been a friend and a mentor to me for many years. He never hesitated to help me as I coached and volunteered for the league.
My heart goes out to all of you, especially the players. Please take care. It’s ok to be sad but please remember all the joy and excitement Darryl brought to your lives through baseball.
