At this level, players further develop their basic baseball skills of hitting, throwing, catching and base running. In the field, the coach decides player positions and all players are encouraged to try every position. All players are given equal playing time.
18U House League teams are interlocked with 18U House League teams from other Scarborough leagues for league play.
There are two games per week on on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays against our own and other Scarborough area teams. Home Games are at Wishing Well Park. (See Park Maps). Away games are at Heron Park, Scarborough Village Park, Highview Park and/or McGregor Park.
18U plays by full baseball rules. The program is for young men and women that are 16, 17 and 18.
Equipment required:
- Running shoes or baseball cleats
- Baseball glove
- Batting helmet with chin strap
- Bat
- Athletic supporter (cup)
Equipment provided:
- Full uniform, including baseball shirt, pants, hat and socks
- Team catcher’s equipment
- Team training baseball
