At this level, players further develop their basic baseball skills of hitting, throwing, catching and base running. In the field, the coach decides player positions and all players are encouraged to try every position. All players are given equal playing time.
Depending on registration numbers, 15U (Bantam) House League teams may be interlocked with 15U (Bantam) House League teams from other Scarborough leagues for league play. The decision whether it is necessary to interlock will be made near the start of the season.
Teams play an inter-division schedule followed by playoffs at the end of the season.
There are two games and/or practices per week, Monday to Friday.
15 U (Bantam) is open to all boys and girls 14 and 15 years old.
- Running shoes or baseball cleats
- Baseball glove
- Batting helmet with chin strap
- Athletic supporter (cup)
- Full uniform, including baseball shirt, pants, hat and socks
- Team bats
- Team catcher’s equipment
- Team training baseball
